Digital Organizers (D.O) will help us expand our socioeconomic justice mission by reaching people digitally and meeting them where they are. D.O.s help to manage multiple CRM and social media platform applications to manage our online member base. D.O. will also develop original creative written and visual content to break down complex issues into ways that are understandable and that people can connect with. In addition, the Digital Organizer will support the strategic integration of digital tools to have a more robust presence and impact.
We are looking for a digital organizer with the skills to build relational organizing networks and cultivate a values-driven culture in digital and in-person spaces. The Digital Organizer can expect to spend their time growing email lists and cultivating social media communities; running interactive and engaging online spaces, facilitating training and workshops; interacting with on-the-ground organizing and campaigns to capture content and tell stories; + more!
What You'll Do:

Strategy, Tactics, and Theory of Change
-
Lead the development and integration of all online platforms, social media outreach, and engagement into organizational and campaign strategies, and fundraising.

Work with Digital Manager and other program/campaign managers to develop strategy, messaging, systems, and protocols centered on racial, economic, and political transformation.

Ask the strategic questions to help shape campaigns

Create strategies to engage online communities and help mobilize

Metrics, Data, and Analysis

Measuring and reporting performance of all digital and social media platforms, assessing against campaign and organizational goals via weekly, monthly, yearly, and milestone analyses. These reports will be in writing and when necessary, presented to directors or other staff. (Ex. staff retreats, training, etc)

Work closely with the Data team to utilize our CRM to manage lists, create landing pages, and optimize the user experience

Manage and grow general and segmented lists for specialized communication through a CRM (Ex. Every Action and Action Network)

Creative Content
-
Managing, creating, and publishing original and relevant content that is true and comprehensive to our values, messaging, and strategy. This can include video & photographs, emails, and online actions in order to make calls to action, engage, and share resources with our audiences.

Create guides and toolkits and assist in the digital skills of our staff, members, and volunteers

Actively post during events when necessary & strategic, and develop plans to carry out these posts with a team.

Proficient ability to use camera and audio equipment as well as editing tools.

Work with the communications team and partners to develop branding and messaging.

Digital Platforms and Tools
-
Manage our social media accounts, email platform, and website. Curate lists and build an online community. (Ex: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Every Action, Squarespace, and Wix)

Brainstorm strategies and execute tactics to grow and engage our online community (followers and subscribers) AND transition people from online to offline

Able to engage in ongoing events/issues and rapid response needs within our online spaces on relevant issues in the news and in our communities.

Follow pop culture trends that are relevant to social justice change

General:
-
Compose correspondence, prepare presentations, reports, and other ad-hoc assignments, such as Google Slide presentations, collection, analysis, and summary of information using Google Sheets or other Google Suite programs.

Timely distributes business communications.

Protect the integrity of confidential information in all matters.

Other duties as assigned.
To succeed in this role, you need:
-
At least 2 years of experience in digital organizing with grassroots or similar organizations
-
Fluency in digital and social media platforms (Ex: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Every Action, Squarespace and Wix, etc.)

Ability to pull, manage, and analyze data.
-
A high level of personal integrity and cultural competence, as well as sensitivity to the needs of different communities and a willingness to grow and learn in your social consciousness.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide and diverse population.
-
A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. You will be expected to travel between Phoenix and Tucson frequently.

Strong organizational skills for rigorous nonprofit and grassroots work. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strategic thinking, visionary skills, and ability to integrate digital strategies as an integral component of overall engagement and campaign strategies

Ability to translate complex ideas and data into compelling web and online copy, writing with integrity and dignity in a voice that reflects the people and the organization's branding, values, and mission

Solid knowledge of graphic design and multimedia editing software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Procreate, etc.)

Basic knowledge of website development and management, HTML, CSS, and analytics tools. (Preferred but not required)

Basic knowledge of Spanish (Fluency not required)

Proficient in Google Tools (Docs, Spreadsheet, PowerPoint, Survey, etc.)

Must have a functioning laptop

Feel comfortable filming and photographing with basic photography knowledge

Basic knowledge of Arizona Government and legislation

Work well with a team and be eager and open to learning!
